  • First Day of Winter

The first day of winter and in the North East and we got buried!  We were going to go and listen to the Back Bay Chorale Society in Boston University's Marsh Chapel.  Unfortunately old man winter has decided a little dumping was in order and 12" of fluffy white stuff now sits in my driveway.

Well we made it out to a brunch with Carol's parents and saw their injured Dachshund at the veterinary hospital.  But I just couldn't keep us out on the roads until 7PM after the concert would have ended: the wipers froze up on the windshield twice on the way home.   After Carol's parents left we hunkered down with the fire drinking Mimosas reading the paper and listened to the plows in the street.  The thump of the plow and growl of the diesel giving us comfort that the roads will be clear in the morning.

Sometimes just being home, safe and warm with your loved one is the best thing in the world.  I hope you all are having a great Sunday.
